HU Covers 1970

Covers from Honest Ulsterman issues in 1970. There were six issues in 1970 as the magazine was bi-monthly. The first issue of the year saw the first appearance of the minimalist but quite stylishly designed version of the cover that would appear regularly throughout the years including in this year the July/August 1970 edition. These had the details of the contents of the issue on the front cover but didn't have an image or design. Simple but very effective. 

Phillipa Goodall designed issues 22 and 23, the March/April and May/June issues respectively although she wasn't credited for the former.

Martyn Turner designed the November/December 1970 issue cover.

Editors for this year were Michael Foley and Frank Ormsby.
